I am originally from America, living 13 years in Holland. I graduated in 2001 with a degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma (Tulsa campus).
The last 10 years I have worked as a consultant for various international companies where themes such as communication, leadership, personal development and teamwork stood central.
Next to Praktijk Hoek Melkweg I work as lecturer and mentor at NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences where I support students with different aspects of their study program and work placements.
Currently I follow a study at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) in London which is based on an existential worldview.
I enjoy helping young adults to gain insight into themselves, to discover their strengths and to help them shape new possibilities for their future. I specialize in working with international students faced with the double transition (living on own + new country) when feelings of alienation, loss (of meaning), stress and/or anxiety may more readily surface.
